FAUSTUS CORNELIA SULLA, (c.56 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (4.05 grams), obv. Hercules wearing lion skin headdress to right, S C behind, rev. globe between four wreaths, lower one flanked by aplustre and ear of corn, upper one with fillet, (S.-, Cr.426/4a, Syd.882, B.Cornelia 61 [£80]). Good very fine and rare.

Ex Antiquarius, New Zealand, November 15, 1986. See note above. Less than 30 obverse dies were used by this moneyer for this type as determined by Crawford.
