FAUSTUS CORNELIA SULLA, (c.56 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.82 grams), obv. Venus diademed laureate head to right, sceptre on shoulder, S C behind, rev. three military trophies between capis and lituus, FAVSTVS monogram in exergue, (S.-, Cr.426/3, Syd.884, B.Cornelia 63 [£85]). Nearly very fine and rare.

Ex Christie's London, March 7, 1985 (lot 42 part). See note above. Less than 30 obverse dies were used by this moneyer for this type as determined by Crawford.
