T. VETTIUS SABINUS, (c.70 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.44 grams), obv. Tatius head to right, TA below chin, S C before, SABINVS behind, rev. togate figure holding sceptre in walking biga to left, IVDEX above, ear of corn behind, [T].VETTIV[S] in exergue, (S.-, Cr.404/1, Syd.905, B. Vettia 2 [£120]). Serrated edge, slightly off centred on reverse, otherwise nearly very fine and rare.

Ex. Buckland Dix & Webb London, October 6, 1993 (lot 104 part). Less than 20 obverse dies utilised for this type according to calculations by Crawford.
