L. FARSULEIUS MENSOR, (c.75 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.75 grams), obv. Liberty diademed and draped bust to right, S C and cap of Liberty behind, MENSOR before, rev. Roma in biga to right, II below, FARSVLEI in exergue, (S.285 [£100], Cr.392/1b, Syd.789, B. Farsuleia 2). Slightly off centre on obverse, otherwise nearly extremely fine and very scarce.

Ex. Duke of Northumberland Collection, Sotheby's London, November 4, 1982 (lot 315 part). Smyth VII/13. Only 36 dies utilised for this type according to the calculation by Crawford.
