L. FARSULEIUS MENSOR, (c.75 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.89 grams), obv. Liberty diademed and draped bust to right, S C below chin, [cap] of Liberty behind, MENSOR before, rev. Roma in biga to right assisting togate figure to mount, scorpion below, L.FARSVLEI in exergue, (S.285 [£100], Cr.392/1a, Syd.789a, B. Farsuleia 1). Off centre on obverse, otherwise nearly very fine and very scarce.

Ex. Christie's London, March 7, 1985 (lot 44 part). 51 dies utilised for this type according to calculations by Crawford.
