L. MANLIUS TORQUATUS, (c.82 B.C.), silver denarius, mint moving with Sulla, (3.90 grams), obv. Roma helmeted head to right, L. MANLI before, PRO Q behind, rev. Sulla in walking quadriga to right, crowned by Victory above, L.SVLLA IM in exergue, (S.-, Cr.366/4, Syd.749, B.Annia 1). Very fine, very scarce.

Ex Christie's, London, May 9, 1978 (lot 2 part). A total of 31 obverse dies has been calculated by Crawford for this type.
