C. MALLEOLUS, (c.97 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.89 grams), obv. Mars helmeted head to right, * below chin, rev. warrior or hero standing to left, foot on cuirass, prow to left with grasshopper above, C.MAL before, (S.-, Cr.335/3d, Syd.615a); another but without symbol, (Cr.335/3b, Syd.615). Good fine and very scarce. (2)

Ex Christie's London, March 7, 1985 (lot 44 part) for first coin and Glendining's London, May 6, 1987 (lot 57 part) for second coin.
