L. OPIMIUS, (131 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.77 grams), obv. Roma helmeted head right, * below chin, wreath behind, rev. Victory in quadriga to right, with wreath, L.OPEIM[I] below, ROMA in exergue, (S.-, Cr.253/1, Syd.473). Even grey patina, extremely fine and scarce.

Ex. Duke of Northumberland Collection, Sotheby's London, November 4, 1982 (lot 249 part). Smyth XI/23. Only 39 obverse dies was used for this coinage according to Crawford.
