ADELAIDE POUND, second type, 1852, with crenellated inner circle on the reverse. Practically mint state and very rare thus, overall with an even subdued bloom and well struck from the dies after considerable use, one of the finest known of this die state.

Ex Spink Australia Sales 2 (lot 530) and 4 (lot 430). This coin was acquired from a family in 1978 that had held it since 1852.
