INDIA, Early Indo-Sassanian copies, (A.D. 550-650), billon drachms, coinage struck in Pakistan and beyond as crude copies of Peroz drachms, issues known as the pre-Kanauj series but these cruder and of later style (average 3.9 grams), obv. crude Sassanian bust right, rev. crude fire altar, (cf.M.56-7, M.1475). Almost all without silver surface, weak in places, crude style, very good - good fine. (11)
