BENGAL PRESIDENCY, Murshidabad Mint type, 1769-1790 issue, in the name of Shah Alam II (A.H.1173-1221, A.D.1759-1806), Gold eighth mohur, (1.538 grams), year A.H. 1203 (1788-9), Regnal Year 19, Murshidabad mint, no milling, (Pr. 52, KM. 89). Extremely fine and very rare.

The Pridmore specimen (lot 573) on a smaller flan, was also described as extremely fine and very rare, it realised Å“140. The Pitchfork example (Sale 48) (lot 2124) on a full flan realised $320.
