MADRAS PRESIDENCY, British Style Coinage system, Gold half mohur or half ashrafi, issued 1819, struck at Madras mint, (5.828 grams), obv. EIC crest, a lion rapant, around ENGLISH EAST INDIA COMPANY, rev. in Persian 'Half ashrafi (half Mohur) of the Honourable English Company', (Pr.242, KM.420). Good very fine, rare.
