DIARY OF WILLIAM RICHARDSON (LATER, Major-General William Richardson), a diary and Sikh standard captured at Ferozeshuhur, India during the 1st Sikh War; an extract from his diary whilst he was Captain, 24th December 1845 'Through all this scene the only exhultation I felt was as carrying the camp which we did at a run: my company capturing a very handsome standard'. The diary and standard are both highly important historic relics (the standard contained in a box). Together with a brass pen, inkwell combination, a small dagger. Good - fine. (5)
