(ATHENA FUND II), the property of the Merrill-Lynch Investment Fund, sold by Sotheby's in auctions held in Zurich from 26-28th October 1993, 1890 lots, every coin illustrated with descriptive text, 14 colour plates, the first part (156 lots) with every coin illustrated in colour, detailed text, second part with very coin illustrated, lots 157-1890. Very fine, first part hard bound (rare), second part soft bound and scarce. (2)

These sales rank next to the Hunt sales of the early 1980's in importance and quality of production. The sales includes coins from a number of important hoards, including the Selinus, Larissa and Samaria hoards.
