CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), AE sestertius, issued 210-213, Rome mint, (22.71 grams), obv. laureate head to right of Caracalla, around M AV[REL ANTONI]NVS PIVS AVG BRIT, rev. Securitas seated right holding sceptre, altar in front, around SECVRITATI PERPETVAE, S C in exergue, (S.-, RIC 512d, C.576). Green patina, with slight surface roughness, otherwise fine and very scarce.
