CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver denarius, issued 211, Rome mint, (2.888 grams), obv. laureate head to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG BRIT, rev. Mars in military dress running to left holding spear and trophy around MARTI PROPVGNATORI, (S.1923, RIC 223, RSC 150). Toned, good very fine.
