TITUS (A.D. 79-81), restitution issue under Trajan Decius (A.D. 249-251), silver antoninianus, issued 249-251, Rome mint, (3.96 grams), obv. radiate head to right of Titus, around DIVO TITO, rev. lighted altar, CONSECRATIO around, (S.-, RSC 404 [Titus]). Good very fine/ nearly extremely fine and scarce.

These restitution issues of Trajan Decius are of selected deified emperors and the contemporary judgement on past emperors made at this time which excluded some like Claudius but included others such as Titus and suprisingly even Commodus. The typology of the series is uniform both for obverse style and the reverse legend and subject theme.
