SOUTH ARABIA, Himyarite, under 'Amdan Bayyin (with Yanaf), 1st century A.D. (ANS date A.D. 50-150), (1.396 grams), Raidan mint, silver light half denarius, cup shaped, obv. male head to right, laureate, symbol behind, dotted border, rev. small male head legend around 'MDN BYN/RYDN, symbol before. (S.5718, BMC 1 [p.71], SNG ANS 1595-1601). Toned, cup shaped as usually made, extremely fine.
