BACTRIA, Kingdom of, Menander, (c.160-145 B.C.), drachm, (2.400 grams), Pushkalavati A workshop, obv. laureate head of Menander to left thrusting a javelin, rev. Athena Pallas to left with shield and thunderbolt, monogram in left field, (S.7600, cf.M.1788, M.225c, BMC 31). Heavily scratched on both sides from hash cleaning otherwise, nearly very fine.
