SYRIA, Kingdom of, Demetrius I, (162-150 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.62 grams), Antioch mint, issued year 159 (154/153 B.C.), obv. diademed head of Demetrius to right within laurel wreath border, rev. Tyche seated to left with leg of throne a winged monster, holds sceptre and cornucopiae, to right **BASILEWS, to left **DHMH TRIOU, and **SWTHROS, monograms to far left of **PA over HP, **Q*NP in exergue, (S.7015, SMA Newell 108 [Plate VI], BMC 14). Slightly off centred, good very fine, scarce.
