ITALY, Samnium, Aesernia, (after 263 B.C.), AE 19, (6.360 grams), obv. head of Vulcan to left, wearing laureated pilos, tongs behind, traces of VOLCANOM before, rev. Zeus in galloping biga to right hurling thunderbolt, AISERNINO in exergue, (S.536, BMC 4, SNG ANS 118-123). Dark green patina, nearly very fine.
