VICTORIA. Local Forces Badge for Military Engineering. Silver arm badge with scrolls for 1877, 1878 & 1881. Mounted together on silk cloth with a hand coloured photograph by Waddington & Co, Elizabeth St, Melbourne of recipient in uniform wearing the badge. Very fine.

This badge was awarded following the successful examination in such military subjects as the destruction of stockades by gunpowder, a knowledge of escalading, field telegraph, military mining, etc.
