JULIUS CAESAR, (assassinated 44 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, struck 44 B.C., (3.802 grams), obv. CAESAR [DICT PERPETV]O around Caesar's laureate head to right, dotted border, rev. L. BVCA in exergue, caduceus and fasces in saltire in angles, axe, globe and joined hands, (S.360 [£850], Cr.480/6, Syd.1063, C. Julius Caesar 25 [£440]), Off-centred obverse flan, weak in places, otherwise nearly fine and rare.

Only 11 obverse dies used for this coin type according to calculations made by Crawford.
