SPAIN, The Barcids in Spain, Carthago Nova, time of Hannibal, (221-206 B.C.), silver shekel, (7.054 grams), obv. male head to left, rev. horse standing to right before a palm tree, dot below horse, (S.6568, Robinson, [Essays Mattingly] No.7 (e) [p.51, Plate III], Villaronga class XI, No.208 [this coin, obv.144, rev.182], CNH 74 [p.72]). Toned, good very fine and very rare.

Ex Italo Vecchi Auction Sale 15, June 15, 1999 (lot 1). Probably the male head on the obverse is Hannibal.
