ZEUGITANIA, Carthage, (c.205-202 B.C.), Billon tridrachm or one and a half shekel, (11.88 grams), obv. head of Tanit to left, wreathed with corn and wearing triple drop ear ring, rev. horse standing to right in background a palm tree, (S.6494 [£250], Jenkins Pl.27, 8, [dates at 240-230 B.C., p.135], cf.Muller 103 [p.89], Visona 34 [dates issue 238-230 B.C. and describes the issue as a double shekel], SNG Cop. 190-1 [dates the issue 264-241 B.C.]). Dark tone, very fine and rare.
