CORINTHIA, Corinth, (480-450 B.C.), silver stater, (8.494 grams), obv. Pegasos flying to left, Q below, rev. elongated head of Athena to right, wearing plain Corinthian helmet, all within incuse square, (cf.S.2615, cf.Calciati 75 [p.169], Ravel 220 [p.77, Pl.XIV, only the Ravel example reported], [P126 same obverse, T168, same reverse die). Toned, punch mark on obverse field, a nice well centred coin with a distinctive die flaw on Q below the Pegasus, otherwise very fine and very rare, apparently only known by one other example with this die combination.
