ATTICA, Athens, (130-90 B.C.), AE 14, quarter obol, (3.160 grams), obv. head of Athena to right, wearing Athenian helmet, rev. two owls seated facing on thunderbolt, A **QE in exergue, all within olive wreath, (S.-, Sv.Pl.24, 63-68; Athenian Agora 99 [p.75, Pl.9-10, 635 examples found], SNG Cop. 93). Attractive dark patina, fine - very fine.

Ex Important overseas private collection, and found in Thessaly during 1964, with ticket.
