ACARNANIA, Thyrrheion, (probably a Colony of Corinth), (350-300 B.C.), silver stater, (7.540 grams), obv. Pegasos with pointed wing flying to left, **QU* below, rev. head of Athena to right in Corinthian helmet over a leather cap, with a Boeotian shield behind head, **Q U* either side of neck, (cf.2301, Calciati 22/2 [p.518], BMC 15-17 [p.140, Pl.XXXVIII, 12], SNG Cop.412). Toned, well centred, fine and scarce.
