THESSALY, Larissa (under Macedonian domination), (c.350-320 B.C.), silver didrachm, (11.40 grams), obv. head of nymph Larissa three-quarter face to left, wearing necklace, rev. horse trotting to right, around **LARI S AIW[N]* in exergue, (S.2119, BMC 55, SNG Cop. 119). Slightly porous obverse, otherwise attractive grey tone, good very fine and rare.

Purchased from Spink Australia, November 29, 1989.
