MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.15 grams), Amphipolis mint, issued c.328 B.C., obv. Herakles head in lion skin to right, rev. Zeus seated left on throne, eagle in outstretched hand, bunch of grapes to left, **ALEXANDPOU to right, (cf.S.6713, Price 29, BMC 29, M.306, SNG Cop. 662). Good very fine.
