MACEDON, Kingdom of, Philip II, (359-336 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.216 grams), Amphipolis IV mint, issued c.315/4-295/4 B.C., obv. head of Zeus laureate to right, dotted border, rev. naked youth or small man (Philip II), on horseback to right holding upright palm, **L* over torch below, above **FILIP POU*, cantharos to right, (cf.S.6680, Le Rider Pl.47, 27, dies not reported). In high relief, well centred, round with attractive grey tone, good very fine and a very rare symbol.
