PAEONIA, kingdom of Patraos, (c.340-315 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (12.012 grams), obv. head of Apollo to r., dotted border, rev. horseman spearing fallen enemy, who holds spear and shield, around **P AT RAOU, (S.1520, Paeonian Hoard 97-129 (London same obverse die, new reverse die). Obverse off centre with large piece removed, otherwise very good/good fine.

The Sotheby sale of the Paeonian hoard (London, 16th April, 1969, lots 97-129), had several examples of this type that came from the same obverse dies.
