SICILY, Syracuse, Fourth Democracy, (289-287 B.C.), AE 22, (10.61 grams), obv. head of Persophone to left, wreathed with corn, traces of **SURAKOSIWN*, to left, rev. biga to right, horses galloping, star above off flan, (S.1209, BMC 441, cf.SNG Cop. 804, SNG ANS 760). Green and brown patina, good very fine, scarce.
