SC around PON M TR P IMP P P COS II, (S.1865, RIC 90, BMC 182); Thrace, Hadrianopoulos, Gordian III, (A.D. 238-244), AE 25, (6.482 grams), obv. Gordian III, bust to right draped and cuirassed, around AVT K [MAV]T **GORD*IANOC AV**G*, rev. Apollo standing to left holding a spear and resting on a shield, around **ADP*IANO[P] OLEITWN, (S.-; Glaux 8, No.2096; Yourokova 'La Monetazione delle citta Morsa Inferiore e dela tracia durante il II-III secolo d.C.: Hadrianopolis No.621). First coin very fine, second with green patina, piece out of edge, otherwise fine and rare. (2)
