SYRIA, Kingdom of, Antiochos VIII, (121-96 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.292 grams), Antioch mint, first reign, issued 121-113 B.C., obv. diademed head of Antiochos VIII to right, fillet border, rev. Zeus Uranius with crescent above standing to left, holding star and sceptre, on right **BASILEOS and **ANTIOCOU and to left **EPIFANOUS, to left IE over A, to right, between figure and inscription P, (cf.S.7143, Newell SMA 369, Babelon No.1419). Very fine and scarce.
