LYDIA, Tralles, (c.140-135 B.C.), silver cistophoric tetradrachm, (12.285 grams), obv. cista mystica containing serpent, all within ivy wreath, rev. bow in case between two coiled serpents, to left **[T]RAL, above a thunderbolt, to right an eagle, monogram below left, (cf.S.4745, Kleiner and Noe Series 40, same dies as No.73g, SNG Fitz. 4898, SNG Cop. 650, SNG Von Aulock 3256 [same obverse die]). Minor abrasion on serpent, otherwise nearly very fine and scarce.
