CORINTHIA, Corinth, (370-350 B.C.), silver stater, (8.445 grams), obv. Pegasos flying to left, Q below, rev. head of Athena to left, wearing wreathed Corinthian helmet with extra branch, plough behind, A P below, (cf.S.2626, Calciati 441 [p.265, 2 reported], Ravel 1022 [p.255, Pl.LXII]). Attractive tone and well centred, extremely fine and very scarce.

Only two examples reported by Ravel - one from his own collection and the other from the Hermitage collection in St.Petersburg.
