WILLIAM I, (1066-1087), silver penny, sword type, London mint, issued 1077-1080, obv. crowned bust facing with sword in right hand, rev. cross pattee over quatrefoil, fleury in each angle, around +EDPII ON LIINDEI (Edwi of London), (S.1255, N.846, BMC No.416, Br.VI). Good very fine, rare type.
