CONVICT LOVE TOKEN, Tasmania, engraved on both sides of a copper disc (shaved halfpenny?) (large holes at top for suspension, 9.5 grams, 30mm) inscribed 'Edward/Stowers/Free Sept.17/1824' reverse initials 'FCS/LS/HS/ES/JS/GS' between two branches. Even brown patina, holed otherwise very fine and unique.

Purhcased in a Hobart antique shop in 1967.
