SYRIA, Kingdom of, Antiochus VI, (144-142 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.042 grams), dated year 169 = October 143-October 142 B.C., Antioch mint, obv. diademed radiate head of Antiochus VI to right, dotted border, rev. Apollo seated to left on omphalos, holding bow and arrow, to right **[BA]SILE[WS A]NTIOCO[U]*, and to left **[E]PIFA NOUS [DI]ON USO[U]*, in exergue OP **STA*, monogram of XAP between legs, (cf.S.7073, Newell SMA 248, BMC 11, ACNAC Houghton 238). Good very fine, rare.
