SYRIA, Kingdom of, Demetrios I, (162-155 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.296 grams), Antioch mint, dated issue of year 162 = 151-150 B.C., obv. diademed head of Demetrios to right within laurel wreath border, rev. Tyche seated to left with leg of throne a winged monster, holds sceptre and cornucopiae, to right **BASILEWS, to left **DHMH TRIOU SOT HROS*, two monograms to left, **BXR* in exergue, (S.7014, SMA Newell 131, BMC 21, BN 766, ACNAC Houghton 168). Off centred on the obverse, otherwise nearly very fine, scarce.
