CARIA, Island of, Rhodes, (c.265-250 B.C. [Ashton chronology], silver didrachm, (6.8 grams), obv. head of Helios three-quarter face to right with hair loose, rev. rose, with bud on right, to left helmet, below to left and right P O, magistrate's name off flan, [**ERASIKLES*], (cf.S.5037, Ashton, Revue Numismatique 1988 No.54, pl.xvii, 54). Nearly extremely fine and rare.
