ATTICA, Athens, (393-300 B.C., but c. 350-300 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.216 grams), obv. head of Athena to right wearing ivy crested helmet, eye in profile, rev. owl standing to right, head facing, in erect posture, olive twig and crescent behind, to right, **AQE, all in incuse square, (S.2537, BMC 144, Kraay (Coins of Ancient Athens) Pl. IV, 5, SNG Cop. 65). Short on flan on obverse, nice grey tone, extremely fine.
