U.S.A., period of the Revolutionary War, Burgoyene's Surrender at Saratoga 1777, in white metal (56mm) by N.Gatteaux (Betts 557, white metal not listed) (Julian p.116). Tone spots otherwise extremely fine and rare.

The 'tin' version was struck at the Philadelphia Mint in 1801 for members of the Gates family.
