JULIUS CAESAR, (c.46-45 B.C.), silver denarius, (3.866 grams), obv. diademed head of Venus right, Cupid at shoulder, rev. Gallia and Gaulish captive seated below trophy, CAESAR in exergue, (S.1404, Cr.468/1, Syd. 1014). Off centred obverse, otherwise fine and scarce.
