SYRIA, Kingdom of, Antiochus VIII, (121-96 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.420 grams), Antioch mint, obv. diademed head of Antiochus VIII to right, fillet border, rev. Zeus Uranius with crescent above standing to left, holding star and sceptre, on right, BASILEOS and ANTIOCOV and to right EPIFANOVS, to left IE over A, *F* in exergue, (cf.S.7143, Newell SMA 377, SNG Spaer (Israel I) -, BN 1417). Nearly very fine and rare.
