THRACE, Abdera, (386/5-375 B.C.), silver hemidrachm, (2.882 grams), obv. griffin springing to left off Ionic capital, A[S**D*] behind, rev. [I]POM NH M**W* on three sides in linear frame with a kantharos in the centre, (cf.S.1549; cf.May Group CXVI, No.442/439 (dies A297, P348), McClean 4011 [same reverse die]). Slightly off centred, otherwise good very fine, scarce.
