CAPTAIN JAMES COOK, memorial medal in silver (44mm) by L. Pingo for the Royal Society in 1784 (M.H.374; BHM 258; Klenman 5). Dark gun metal tone, beautifully struck, nearly uncirculated and rare in this condition.
