LUCIUS VERUS, (A.D. 161-169), AE sestertius, Rome mint, (26.78 grams), issued A.D. 163-4, obv. Laureate cuirassed bust to right, around L AVREL VERVS AVG ARMENIACVS, rev. Victory half draped standing right, fixing to a palm tree a shield inscribed VIC AVG, S C across field, around TR P IIII IMP II COS II, (cf.S.1550, RIC 1396, C.249). Attractive brown patina, very fine and very scarce.
