HADRIAN, (A.D. 117-138), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 121-2, (28.53 grams), obv. laureate head of Hadrian to right, drapery on left shoulder, around IMP CAESAR TRAIAN HADRIANVS AVG, rev. P M TR P COS III around, VIRT AVG and S C across, Virtus standing left, holding spear and parazonium, (S.1125, RIC 614a, C.1465). Dark brown with attractive tone, minor surface oxidation on the obverse, otherwise good very fine and rare in this condition.
